Our motion capture recording session took place after our class on Thursday. I booked the Green Screen Room for our group rehearsal. Evelyn volunteered to be our actor in the mocap suit for filming. Based on my storyboard, I directed her performance and she did a brilliant job at bringing the vision to life.

Then we went to our recording session at 2pm. We set up her Mocap suit and then began filming. I directed and guided her through two full run-throughs of the performance, and then did two additional shots of extended dancing (one for the sculpture and one for the water) so I can pick and choose which movements were better and patch it all together in Maya. Here are some images of Evelyn in the recording session, filming done by Jasmine while I directed.

Then we ran through the other group member's shots and finished at about 3:30pm, so the whole shoot took about an hour and a half. We split up the data onto our hard drives, ready for Cortex!
